I've switched to stevia for weight loss or maintenance. Recently I became hyperglycemic, and ketosis, without trying to use a true keto diet. ( I had been watching carbs for years, but still ate occasionally. )
My blood pressure is up, energy down, nausea and all signs of both ketosis ( that keto advocates praise) but also diabetes with RBG of nearly 600!
Now, will stop NNS too.
I used a lot of stevia and Splenda.
In my diabetic workup, no one in the medical field has mentioned metabolic syndrome OR my use of NNS.
I'll bring up Metabolic Syndrome to be sure they are testing for any damage potential in other places.
